How does Mental Health & Wellness Coaching differ from therapy?
Unlike therapy, our work together focuses on the present and looks ahead to the future. Sessions are efficient and uplifting - we listen intuitively and deeply to harness your strengths and empower you to create positive change.
Sessions are client-led, ensuring you set the agenda and remain the expert in your life at all times. In partnership, we co-create healthy goals while leveraging your core values and personal strengths in achieving them.
Our work together can address your well-being in any area: physical, mental, emotional, social, spiritual, cultural, environmental, financial, occupational and more.
Please note: I do not diagnose, prescribe medication or provide treatment plans for any disease or condition. With your written authorization, however, I can coordinate with your therapist, psychiatrist or other healthcare providers to integrate your wellness goals or adherence to any care plans they’ve developed for you during our sessions.
Can I add an additional service between sessions?
Absolutely. Additional services, such as Reiki, Healing Mediumship, Intuitive Readings and Tarot etc. can greatly enhance your Mental Health & Wellness coaching experience. They are available to schedule separately, and/or you may request a modality be integrated into your regular session.
Do you take insurance? How do you protect client confidentiality and privacy?
I do not take insurance, however, your sessions may be HSA/FSA eligible. Please check with your physician or plan administrator. I would be happy to provide my NPI number upon request.
Client privacy is a top priority at SpiritWorks Wellness. We use a trustworthy, secure telehealth platform and practice management system that is HIPPA compliant. It also meets PIPEDA, GDPR and PHIPA compliance.
How is this approach different from traditional therapy for grief?
Unlike traditional therapy, our work together centers on the present and looks to the future, you remain the expert in your life, and grief.
Traditional grief models in therapy and healthcare often pathologize continuing bonds. However, peer-reviewed scientific research shows that maintaining these bonds is both healthy and adaptive, while validating that grief is ongoing. Our approach embraces and amplifies this understanding, using the transformative power of continuing bonds to support your healing and enhance your overall health and well-being.

What can I expect during a grief support session? Is mediumship included?
Sessions are client-centered, holistic, and nurturing. We create a safe space to explore what matters most to you—both in life and in your grief.
Some sessions may focus on practical strategies for coping with your loss amidst daily life, while others may dive deeper into emotions, shifts in relationships, or honoring the most sacred aspects of your grief.
Our holistic approach combines various modalities to support you in body, mind, and spirit. Our continuing bonds practice will offer comfort and inspiration throughout your journey. If you choose, we may also explore the deeply comforting experience of Meditation Induced After Death Communication (MI-ADC).
Additional services, such as Mediumship, Reiki, Healing Mediumship, and Tarot, can enhance your grief support and are available to schedule separately or can be integrated into our sessions upon request.
As we navigate the sacred journey of grief together, you’ll always be held in unconditional positive regard, and remain the expert in your life and your grief.
My loved one passed very recently (or many years ago). Is there a timeframe that is appropriate for grief work?
No matter where you are in your grief journey, engaging in grief work offers profound benefits.
Depending on your unique needs and the nature of your loss, you may find support valuable to cope with day-to-day demands, managing immediate arrangements, or attending funeral services. Alternatively, you may wish to address the physical symptoms of grief and their impact on your health, or you wish to establish or deepen your continuing bonds practice.
You’ll always guide the direction of our work, ensuring we focus on what matters most to you. I’ll remain fully attuned to your needs, offering the personalized support your tender heart deserves.
What exactly is Spiritual Wellness, and how can it help me?
Spiritual Wellness is a holistic dimension of human health that integrates all aspects of our well-being—physical, emotional, mental, social, and beyond. Why should I have an Advance Care Directive?
Life is unpredictable, and unexpected situations can arise at any age. When illness or accidents occur, decisions often fall to loved ones and healthcare providers. Without clear direction, these decisions can be agonizing. You can alleviate this burden by creating a holistic, legally-binding plan that ensures your wishes are respected when you can’t speak for yourself.
How do you provide support for creating my Advance Care Directive?
In our sessions, we'll have an open, meaningful discussion about what matters most to you. Together, we’ll clarify your values, wishes, and beliefs to design a plan that covers everything—from healthcare decisions to comfort measures, and even the music you’d like played at your memorial.
We’ll use an affordable, simple form inspired by an attorney and trusted advisor to Mother Teresa, crafted with the help of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Law and Aging. This document is valid in all 50 U.S. states and available in 30 languages.
